The Neoboards are public spaces for discussion, and we rely on the community to help flag inappropriate content through the report function along with active site moderators. However, not all reported messages will be removed or result in disciplinary action. Reports are reviewed thoroughly and must meet specific criteria for a violation.
Reports That May Warrant Action:
• Hate speech, slurs, or discriminatory comments
• Personal attacks, harassment, or targeted bullying
• Sharing private information (doxxing)
• Spamming or trolling with the intent to disrupt
• Off-topic posts in clearly designated boards
Reports That Typically Do Not Warrant Action:
• Disagreeing with your opinion, message or board
• Responding bluntly, rudely or with sarcasm (if not abusive)
• Having a different interpretation of a topic
• Participating in a thread where you don’t get along with them
• “Bad vibes,” “being annoying,” or using fonts/styles you dislike
Remember, we moderate based on rule violations, not personal disagreements. Reporting someone simply because you don’t like them or their post will not result in action unless there’s an actual breach of our guidelines.
If someone is consistently bothering you but not breaking rules, we recommend avoiding engagement. If things escalate or become personal, let us handle it. Do not retaliate or call them out publicly, as that could result in action against both parties.
