How do pet transfers work?

A pet can only be transferred once per day. For example, if you accept a pet transfer today, you must wait until the next day before you can transfer that same pet again. If you do not accept a transfer within 72 hours, the pet will automatically be returned to the sender.

While a pet is in transit — meaning it has been sent to you or is being sent from you — you cannot create a new pet, adopt from the Pound, or browse the Pound’s listings.

Although each individual pet has a one-transfer-per-day limit, your account can send or receive an unlimited number of different pets in a single day, as long as each pet is only transferred once within that day.
