What is a Child Account?

A Child Account on Neopets is an account with a registered date of birth indicating that the user is 13 years old or younger.

For the safety and privacy of younger players, certain features that allow communication or interaction with other players are restricted on Child Accounts.

What information is stored?

For Child Accounts, an email address is not stored on the account.

What features are restricted?

The following communication and personalization features require parental or guardian consent:

  1. Neomail – Sending and receiving messages through Neopets' internal email system.
  2. Neoboards – Reading and posting on the site's message boards.
  3. Page personalization – Customizing pages such as your Pet Lookup, Store, Gallery, Guild, and Trading Post.

How can these features be enabled?

A parent or legal guardian must provide consent before these features can be activated on a Child Account.

Enabling these features may involve the collection and processing of additional information, such as demographic and device information, cookies or tracking identifiers, and site usage information.

For more information about how information is collected, used, and processed—including information about processing in the United States and the use of cookies and similar technologies—please refer to our Privacy Policy.

Without parental or guardian consent, these communication and personalization features will remain unavailable on the account.
